Second Test: Day 1 Review
Second Test Scorecard

WI Concedes 11 Run Lead
On the third day rain again played spoilsport. Outfield got slower. But Chanderpaul and Samuels gave India the jitters. They were set to take West Indies to lead, when Chanderpaul played a rare mishit and Mithun got his second wicket. The 6th wicket partnership of 77 runs was broken and Indians could relax. But Samuels was determined. Unfortunately he ran out of partners. Sammy could not play a big inning again, and was out on 15. Sharma took remaining three wickets, last two on two consecutive balls.

Ishant Sharma Sinks Carribean
Ishant Sharma bowled a spell that reminded all of his hey days. It was frustrating to see his good spell going wicketless. Yet his patience and consistency paid off when he got last three wickets, and achieved his best test haul. On the way he also touched 100-wicket mark in Test cricket.

India Bats, Fights Rain to Create History
India started batting scoring 20 without loss in 5 overs. Considering rain they have the challenge of scoring quickly to get a lead of 300-runs, although 200 would be enough to win on the deteriorating pitch. India has the eye on history. India needs a win to forget the barbarism of Barbados in the past.
