Indian Wrestler Profile: Sushil Kumar

Sushil Kumar has not got the privilege of being the Flag bearer of India in London Olympics without reason. By the end of the London Games, he had become the greatest athlete India has ever produced in terms of Olympic medals. None of the Indian athlete has ever won two individual Olympic medals.

Sushil Kumar joined the group of Indian players who have won World Championships in different sports. Participating in World Wrestling Championships 2010 in Moscow, he grabbed the first-ever Gold for India in Wrestling competition. He grabbed Gold in 66kg freestyle competition. Here is his profile.

The vegeterian Pehlwan (Popular Hindi term for wrestler) despite belonging to a poor family has went on to become the biggest athlete from India. He is the only wrestler to have won Silver medal at Olympics. K Jadhav and Yogeshwar Dutt won Bronze.
