Super Eight Group 2: India Wins but Pakistan Qualifies

India won the last Super Eight Game by 1 run, and closed the door on themselves. The loss meant South Africa failed to win any of the three Super Eight matches. India needed to restrict South Africa to 121 to qualify to semifinals, but Dhoni’s another set of questionable tactics forced India to take the flight home.

On a turnning pitch, Harbhajan or even Chawla was not included. Even Ashwin the key bowler and Balaji the star of the match against Pakistan was given the ball only in 9th and 12th over, even behind Rohit Sharma who was never given an over in the last four matches of the tournament.
