DDs Innings
Sent to bat first Delhi Daredevils opener started strong with a partnership of 43 runs and then both followed each other. First Warner (15 runs, 13 balls, 3 boundaries) was caught on his own bowling by Vinay Kumar, and after 3 deliveries Sehwag (23-ball 25 runs, 4 boundaries) faced another soft dismissal as he hit the ball straight to Kolhi on the first ball of McDonald’s over. After 6.1 overs 43/2 was alarming. But Juneja in the company of Mahela kept the scoreboard ticking until Juneja (16-ball 17 runs, 2 boundaries) was caught by Vinay Kumar of the bowling of Unadkat, who also had Rohrer (14 runs, 2 boundaries) caught by Kohli.

DD needed some good hitting, but Mahela after struggling 31-ball 28 runs (2 boundaries was run out and after 18 overs they had only 122/5 on board. Next 12 balls saw Kedhar Jadhav (16-ball 29 runs with 2 boundaries and a six), and Irfan Pathan (8-ball 19 runs with 2 boundaries and a six) taking the score to 152/5 that proved decent enough in the end.

Rampaul (28/0) bowled a maiden but was wicketless, RP Singh 48/0) was again very expensive, Vinay Kumar (21/1) was the picj of the bowlers with Unadkat (24/2) being the most successful. McDonald (1/17 in 2 overs) was expensive. Syed Mohammad bowled 2 overs for 13 runs.

RCBs Chase of 153 runs
What appeared to be a cakewalk was indeed very easy even though opener Rahul (run-a-ball 12 runs, with 2 boundaries) and Gayle (9-run 13 ball with 2 sixes) were back to dugout by 3.3 overs with score reading 26/2. Gayle had already hit Moren for 2 sixes but wanted other and this time Morkel had the last laugh. But DD had nothing more to cheer as Kohli (50-ball 65 runs, 7 boundaries and a six) with AB de Villiers (32-ball 39 runs, 3 boundaries and a six) added 103 runs in 12.3 overs. RCB was in comfortable position to win needing only 24 more runs to win in 4 overs.

But, there was twist in the tale as AB got run out on a suicidal run and there started the flurry of wickets. McDonald (0) in 16.2 overs, Arun Karthik (5 runs) at the end of 18th over, Syed Mohammad (1) in 18.3 overs and then captain Kohli in 18.4 overs were the batsmen to go. Score read 138/7 and RCB needed 14 runs in 8 balls. Vinay Kumar (1-ball 1* run) was joined by Rampaul who hit a six and his 7-ball 13 runs took them to another Super Over.

The Super Over saw the loss of confidence of Sehwag and Mahela as both did not come to bat, and the youngsters were bowled out in the chase of 15 runs.
