Gayle Takes T20 Records to New Height

On April 23, Chris Gayle scored unbeaten 175 runs against Pune Warriors in the 31st match of Indian Premier League 2013 at Bangalore. On his way to the record score he broke many records of Twenty20 Cricket and set new parameters at IPL. Here is a list of all his records set during the innings.

Also broken

    He became the only player in T20 history to score 100 runs in sixes as he hit 17 sixes.
    Adding 13 fours to the number of 17 sixes indicates his 154 runs scored by big hits were the most in any T20 innings.
    167 runs partnership for 1st wicket with Dilshan broke IPL record for 1st wicket pf 163 runs earlier set in 2012 by Dwayn Smith and Tendulkar (MI) vs Rajasthan Royals.
