Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals battle out at Jaipur in the revenge match for the host amidst a testing time for RCB where their effectiveness is questioned continously in Away matches. MI has shown how Gayle can be silenced, and Royals have more than one Johnson in their ranks. Stage is set for Dravid to take his team to second place above RCB on the table.
RCB has won 5 of their 8 matches, losing only three matches to RR.

In 2009, RCB finished 2nd best registering 9 wins and 7 losses. South Africa did not suit RR and they managed just 5 wins, Lost 8, and 1 was abandoned.
In 2010, RCB finished 3rd winning 8 and losing 8 games, while RR again failed to enter knockout and could win only 6 and Lost 8 matches.
In 2011, RCB reached the final winning 10 and losing 6, while Royals finished 6th with 6 wins, 7 losses and an abandoned match against RCB.
In 2012, RCB was left on 5th place as CSK sneaked ahead with better NRR. RCB won 8, lost 7. RR lost 9 and won 7 to finish 7th.
RR has Won 43, Lost 37, and two matches were abandoned.
Due to the poor performance in 2008, RCB has not so impressive record. Still they have 45 wins and 41 losses.
Gayle owns the Orange Cap, but Faulkner has just snatched the Purple Cap from a list of contenders that includes Vinay Kumar too. Bowling was the key strength for RR, but with Watson returning to form they look equally dangerous in batting too with Stuart Binny and Hodge swinging the bat for quick runs, Dravid and Rahane providing the stability. Overall at present they look unbeatable at home.
MI has made RCB look a very weak time with their bowling and batting too. Jaipur pitch poses the same challenge for RCB batsmen again. All about Gayle, Kohli and AB de Villiers. Bowlers may find some help but can they get past RR batsmen easily!! Doubtful.
The disciplined bowling of RR and attacking batting unit can easily take the revenge that they need and surpass RCB on Points table too.
