Indian Archery Record: After 6 Olympics and 4 Events, 22 Archers Chase First Olympic Medal

Limba Ram, Bombayla Devi, Deepika Kumari

Starting from 1988 Olympics, Archers have represented India consecutively in 6 Olympics, barring 2000 Olympics. Indian Archery can be divided accordingly. Before 2000, in their first three Olympics only Men’s team joined the Olympic squad, while after that from 2004 Olympics onwards, Women’s are leading so much that like 2016 Olympics only 1 male archer was part of the Archery team in 2008 Olympics. With participation at Rio, while previous World Cup topper Deepika Kumar becomes the 6th Indian Archer to represent India twice, Bombayla Devi joins Limba Ram as the third time Olympian for India in Archery.
