Indian Men’s Hockey in 2016: Asian Champions Sign off With a Winner, 3 Runners up with 20 wins and 18 losses

Indian Men emerged as Asian Champion and provided laudable performances with multiple Runners up achievement. In Asia, Indians displayed dominance over Malaysia, Korea, Japan, leaving behind Pakistan, while finishing second best to Australia at World level losing 7 matches to them including multiple finals and winning a consolation match at Melbourne to sign off the year. Belgium and New Zealand blanked India whenever they played including the Olympics Quarterfinals, while Germany and Spain also remained undefeated. The Junior Men completed a memorable year for India becoming only second team to lift World Cup more than once.
