Satwik and Chirag Equal India’s Best, Target Record at Vietnam International 2017

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty equalled the record of other four Indians of reaching the semifinals at Vietnam International winning their quarterfinals without losing much sweat. They are the second Men’s Double team to reach the semis at Vietnam. To create an Indian record of being the first to reach the finals of Vietnam International Challenge 2017 they need to go past the 2nd seed Indonesian pair of Hendra and Markis Kido. The Indian duo had a memorable 2016 with a hattrick of titles. India awaits its 8th title of 2017.

Indian Results at Vietnam International 2017

The 6th seeds Indians defeated unseeded Indonesian pair 21-18 21-11 in 30 minutes. Satwik and Chirag have created an Indian record by winning three titles in three consecutive tournaments in 2016. Both 6+ feet young Indians won India International Series (Hyderabad), Tata Open International Challenge (Mumbai) and Bangladesh International Series(Colombo). Besides that they have together won Mauritius International and then an All India title.
