IBL Day 12: Banga Beats Knocked out With Win, loser Hyderabad on Top

Banga Beats and Hyderabad Hotshots played the last tie of the pool stage in a dead rubber as before the match Banga Beats were knocked out and Hyderabad Hotshots was already in the semifinal. Hyderabad Hotshots won the first two singles as Tanongsak shocked P Kashyap and Saina registered 5th consecutive win, but Danish players Mogensen and Jorgensen won their last three matches to seal a memorable win for Banga Beats.

  1. Time for introspection has come to Smashers and Beats earlier than expected. Probably, Kashyap as captain and as player was biggest failure for BB. The continuing dilemma in selecting the players for the matches was another factor. Marin and Yun Hu were not used to full extent. Jan Jorgensen could have been more useful too. May be next year they can emerge better team with improved planning.
