Indian Table Tennis Record: 7 Men, 7 Women, 4 Events of 9 consecutive Olympics Boast 3rd Round as the Best

Table Tennis is the ideal Sports where Indians can claim parity. Since being part of Indian Olympic Contingent in 1988 Olympics, woman have always been part of Table Tennis squad. For the first time, two Women were part of the team in 2016 Olympics squad that matched the maximum TT team of 4 members sent in 1992 Olympics. Unfortunately, all four lost in the first round itself at Rio and third round entries by Kamlesh Mehta in 1988 and 1992, Sharath Kamal and Manika Batra in 2020 remain as India’s best performance at Olympics.
