After completion of Stage 4 of 2013 Archery World Cup, Deepika Kumari qualified for the final to be held at Paris on September 21 and 22 in Paris. She has qualified to the final for the second consecutive year. In 2012 she won Silver in Women’s Individual Recurve.

In the Archer World Cup Stage 4 at Wroclaw, Indian trio of Rimil Buriuly, Deepika Kumari and Bombayla Devi Laishram emerged Gold medalist, following their Gold medal at Stage 3 of Medellin. At Stage 3 they defeated China, while here they defeated South Korea.
After losses in Individual round, the Stage 3 Gold medal winning Women’s Recurve team of Rimil Buriuly, Deepika Kumari and Bombayla Devi Laishram has reached the finals although Indian teams fared poorly in other 5 team events. While in Medellin they defeated China, here they face Korean team on Sunday.
Since the start of Archery World Cup in 2006 that includes four Stages and then the final, India has managed to win only one Gold Medal, two Silver and one Bronze till 2012. Overall Indians have won 6 Gold, 13 Silver and 8 Bronze medals in Archery World Cup and its different stages.
Deepika Kumari reached round of 32 in the Women’s recurve individual at Poland. Other Indian women participants Dola Banerjee, Laishram Bombayla Devi and Rimil Buriuly lost. Indian Men progressed in recurve individual and Compound section.

Shanghai, China: The 4th stage of the Archery World Championships 2010 proved lucky for India when their 16-member contingent of archers won 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 bronze to finish joint 3rd in the list of 37 participating nations. In the process the winners booked berth for the Edinburgh 2010 Archery World Championships.
