Syed Modi International: Indians Seal 2nd Title Before Final, After Men’s Singles, Mixed Doubles is all Indian Final

As the semifinals of Syed Modi International 2017 saw two major upsets, defending champion Srikanth lost to an Indian, while top seed Danish pair was knocked out by Indian pair. If Ashwini Ponnapppa (with Sikki) can create another upset tomorrow, India may end up with 4 out of 5 titles at Syed Modi International 2017 after joining Sikki Reddy and Pranaav in finals. Top seeds Sindhu is expected to win the title too in Women’s Singles. Earlier, besides titles in Singles, India has won only one doubles titles at Syed Modi International event. Indians have already sealed two titles. First they had all four semifinalists in Men’s Singles, and now they have both finalists in Mixed Doubles as 7th seed Ashwini Ponnappa and Sumeeth Reddy shocked the top seed Danish pair of Nielsen/Pedersen and joined 2nd seed Sikki Reddy and Pranaav Chopra.
