2018 World Team TT Championships: Indian Men Finish 5th, Women To Play for 13-24 Rank

Group D of Men’s Team event proved to be the toughest of all four groups where no team could win all 5. Germany, China and England topped other groups with 5 straight wins. The last day of Group Stage in Men’s Team event required Indians to register a win and expect Croatia to lose against group topper South Korea as India, Croatia and Austria were tied at 6 points behind South Korea and France who had 8 points before the final match of Group for all in the race to enter the Round of 16 for places 1-12. But, they faltered and lost 2-3 against Austria to finish 5th in Group D. Indian Women on the other hand also enter Round of 16 but for places 13-24.

Women’s Squad to play for 13-24 rank. Finishing Group A at bottom, Indian team will play Group D 5th ranked Luxembourg for a place in next round. The winner plays Group B 4th ranked Hungary.
