BWF World Championships 2010: Indian Performances on Day 5

Paris France: India had a very bad day on 5th day in the quarterfinal matches. The two remaining Indian representation of Saina Nehwal exited from the tournament with Mixed Doubles team of Diju V and Jwala Gutta.

Indian challenge in the World Championships 2010 was over in the Quarter-final round with the elimination of lasst two representation in the tournament.

Saina Nehwal was the favorite to win the tournament, specially after the exit of top seed. Being 2nd seed, and having won the last 3 tournaments Saina was tipped to reach the final at least. Yet, she faltered at the first sight of a Chinese player and lossed in just 35 minutes.

Jwala Gutta and Diju V, the 9th seed could not match the pace of 12th seed Korean. They failed to improve their Quarterfinal performance of 2009 World Championships and fell against 12th seed Korean pair
