Arpinder Singh Becomes 1st Indian to Win Medal at IAAF Continental Cup

After helping India win Gold medal in Asian Games after 48 years in Triple Jump, now Arpinder Singh becomes the first Indian ever win a medal at IAAF Continental Games. He won Bronze medal with 16.59 mark. For the first time, a team with Asian Athletes (Asia-Pacific) finished ahead of Africa. Americans won the Continental Cup 2018 with 262 points, ahead of previous winners Europe, who earned 233 points. Asia-Pacific had 188 and Africa earned 142 points. Results of Other Indians on Day 2 (Sept 9)

    Muhammed Anas Yahiya finished 5th with timing of 45.72 and earned 4 points
    Neeraj Chopra’s throw of 80.24 earned him 6th spot and 3 points.
    Sudha Singh finished 7th to earn 2 points. She was among the four athletes who did not finish.
    Jinson Johnson finished 6th in Men’s 1500m earning 3 points with a timing of 3:41:72
