Asian Games 2014: Indian Schedule and Record in Swimming

India is sending 7 Men to participate in the Swimming Sports of Aquatics. In the past Indian Swimmers have won 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 5 Bronze medals. Sandeep Sejwal won a Bronze in Men’s 50 metre breaststroke as Indian Tally in Swimming reached to 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 6 Bronze medals after 2014 Asian Games.

Sandeep has qualified for the 100m Breaststroke event at London Olympics 2012 also. He currently holds the National record in the 50m, 100m and 200m Breaststroke events.

25-year old Sandeep won Silver medals in 50 m and 100 m Breastroke events at the Asian Indoor Games in 2007.

  1. The Second swimmer in the list is not Arun Dsouza, his correct name is Aaron Dsouza.By the way Aaron dsouza and saurabh sangvekar had also qualified for London Olympics.Aaron has won Gold, silver,bronze medal at Asian indoor games.

    India has won only 2 medals in the Asian games so far.
