Asian Games: Indian Medal Winners in Tennis

India won its first medal in 1966 but since late 1990s have been one of the prominent winners in the Asian Games Tennis. With 9 Gold medals, 6 Silver medals and 17 Bronze medals, India has 5th best medal tally at Asian Games after Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and China. In 2006 Asian Games, Indians finished as the best team, while in 2014 and 2010 Indians won maximum 5 medals in both editions. In 2010, 1994 and 2006 Indians won 2 Gold medals each. Needless to say, Leander Paes (6 medals), Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza (5 medals each) are the most successful Indian Tennis players at Asian Games.
