
Equestrian started in Asian Games when India hosted 9th edition in 1982 at New Delhi. Winning 3 of the 4 Gold medal events, Indians had a great start. But, after that they could only win Bronze medals till 2006. In 2018, Indians won Silver medals after 36 years. Japan and South Korea emerged as leaders and India is now ranked 4th behind them and Saudi Arabia in overall Medal tally of Equestrian in 8 editions.
