Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships 2017: Ranked 8th, Indians Enter Quarterfinals without Sania and Sindhu

Placed in Group D with giants Korea, who eventually finished Runners up, Indian Mixed Team could reach only till quarterfinals in the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship 2017. In the absence of Saina and Sindhu, who pulled out, 8th ranked Indian team won one match and lost two. At group stage they lost to Korea but won against Singapore. Men’s Singles saw Sameer Verma, winner of Syed Modi International Challenge and PBL star HS Prannoy winning all three matches for India, besides the Men’s Doubles pair of Manu Attri / Sumeeth Reddy winning both their matches. Mixed Doubles saw India losing all the three matches. Check the results for India in the first Mixed Team Championships that was won by Japan.
