Pakistan has already won 3 matches, but have lost 2. But in the final match they not only need to defeat the host, Malaysia, but also must have a goal difference better than Great Britain, if they also defeat Korea in their final match. Considering their overall performance, they do look as strong as they were in the past, but their inconsistency can be their biggest challenge.

India has always been their bitter enemy in Azlan Shah, who has many times stopped their winning march. Yet, with 5 unsuccessful attempts in the final, they remain the second best team more than often and they will like to rectify it.

Current Results
They started the tournament with 2 big wins, winning convincingly with identical margin of 4-2 against New Zealand and Korea. They showed good temperament and discipline against arch rivals India too in 5th match to win 3-1. But have lost against the two strong sides of the tournament, Australia and Great Britain. While against Britain they lost just by a goal margin 3-2, Australia slaughtered them 5-1.

Key Players
Drag-flicker Sohail Abbas has scored the maximum goals converting 4 penalty corners. Captain Muhammad Imran has also been leading from the front. Rehman Butt and Abdul Haseem Khan are other key players who can storm the opposition at will.
