The tournament saw some exceptional bowling spells. Some players missed hattrick opportunities. Wickets fell more often in the first over of the innings. 19th over of the innings was considered the worst for bowlers. Tait grabbed 3 wickets in the 19th over. Ironically his team still lost. KKR, Somerset and RCB were the only team where none of the bowlers could register a 3-wkt or better spell. Tait recorded the best performance of the tournament with 5-wicket spell.
