Davis Cup Brazil Vs India: Devvarman Loses to Mello, India trail 0-2

Chennai, India: In the Davis Cup World Play-offs India Vs Brazil tie, the highest seed Indian Som Devvarman failed to get the equalizer for India. After the defeat of Bopanna in first rubber, India now trails 0-2. Only a miracle can prevent India from being knocked out.

First Rubber: Bopanna Vs Belucci

Somdev, ranked 113th, n current form was expected to get better of Mello, ranked higher than him. In the end of he also sufferred Bopanna’s fate. He fought well for 5 sets, yet could not get the equaliser for India. Mello won 4-6, 6-2, 6-7(3), 6-2, 6-4.

Brazil is set to enter World Elite Club in Davis Cup on its 4th consecutive attempt, as even if they lose the doubles, they would just need to win one of the two singles.
