
Indian challenge ended in 2nd round of the tournament on Feb 26. The only Indian winner in German Open history, Arvind Bhat was the defending Men’s Singles Champion of German Open. Earlier, at the ongoing German Open, after getting into the main draw through qualifiers, he has entered the 2nd round. India’s best Women’s Doubles pair Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa have also tasted success in first round. Ashwini, however, lost the 2nd round of Mixed Doubles event.
