Eng in Ind 2016 Bowling Records: Spinners and Seamers Rock Strong English Batting

Indian bowling finally emerged as a unit where only Ashwin did not run away with wickets. Jadeja and seamers not only made their presence felt but helped India win matches too. Shami, Umesh Yadav and Ishant contributed to 22 wickets by seamers in the series where Indian bowlers grabbed 90 wickets. Ashwin and Jadeja emerged as the top two successful bowlers of the series. Grabbing his first 10-wicket haul, Jadeja also grabbed his best performance of an innings, which is better than what Ashwin has so far despite breaking series of records. India used 8 bowlers in the series, while Karuna Nair was the 9th one to roll his arms for an over. 67 maidens by Jadeja, overall less than 3 economy and an average of 30 in 1000+ overs bowled by 8 Indian bowlers shows how much they dominated the strong English batting line up.
