Pakistan is one of the most dangerous side. Yet, the internal turmoil has made it homeless. Without Pakistan, the World Cricket loses the charm. No other country produces as many varied exceptional talents as Pakistan keeps on doing continuosly. Yet, the unpredictability never leaves the much adored team. No wonder despite winning 18 of their 31 matches, Pakistan has only won Asia Cup once, in 2000. Pakistan has reached the Asia Cup final only twice. Once they won it emphatically in 2000, when they won all the matches that they played in the tournament. In 1986, they lost the final to Sri Lanka by 5 wickets. Their political tension with India has affected the Asia Cup directly. 1993 Asia Cup was cancelled, when Pakistan was to host and India refused to visit.
