Hong Kong Open Super Series: 2nd seed Sindhu Ends Runners up for 2nd consecutive year

PV Sindhu finished Runners up at Hong Kong Open Super Series 2017 again for the second consecutive year. In the repeat of 2016 finals, Sindhu lost again in the final to World No. 1 Tai Tzu Ying, who won her second consecutive Hong Kong Open Super Series title. Despite her impeccable performance, the defeat prevented 2nd seed Sindhu from becoming the third Indian after Prakash Padukone and Saina Nehwal to win the title. While Lee Chong Wei returning to winning ways after 8 months, chinese won two doubles and Indonesians won one title.
