2006 Series saw Indians continued dominance over West Indies for the second consecutive series winning 1-0 Down Under.

Batsmen
The top order and middle order excelled for both teams. Indians were better though. Dravid was the leading scorer of series with 492 runs. Openers Jaffer (372) and Sehwag (357), Laxman (257) and Kaif (226) in middle order were other main scorers.
Darren Ganga with 314 runs lead the batting. Chanderpaul again succeeded with 301 runs, missing a century by 3 runs when he ran out of partners. Gayle (275), Sarwan (257), Dwayn Bravo (231) and Lara (211) were other prominent scorers.

Bowlers
Kumble with 23 wickets was the leading wickettaker. Indian bowlers grabbed 71 wickets.
Collymore with 15 wickets was the leading wickettaker. WI bowlers took 58 Indian wickets.

Wicketkeepr
Dhoni scored 168 runs in his firs appearance against WI. Ramdin scored 166 runs with a half-century.

Captains
Dravid became the top-scorer of the series with 492 runs. Lara scored 211 runs in 8 innings with a century.

Allrounder
Sehwag was the best allrounder of the series. He scored 357 runs with a century and a half-century and snatched 9 wickets too. Dwayn Bravo took 8 wickets and scored 231 runs with a half-century to emerge as the best WI allrounder.
