India sufferred one blow before the series started, and got another on the first day of the test series at Lord’s.
Sehwag did not play against West Indies. Indian team and fans expected him to play against England. But he still needs some time to recover and has been ruled out for the first two tests.
Zaheer Khan is the lead bowler of India, and probably the only bowling weapon for India. He proved that in the first test taking both the wickets that fell on the rain-marred day. But he was out of the ground with a hamstring injury. If he does not recover overnight to bowl in the test, only rain could save India. At stumps on first day there were very few chances of his playing on the second day.
