
Indians finished 8th winning 25 medals. Shooting won maximum Gold medals but Weightlifting won maximum medals. Boxing and Badminton were other medal winning Sports. Indians won overall 7 Gold, 10 Silver, 8 Bronze medals. Jaspal Rana again completed a double of Gold medals while Mansher Singh also won his second consecutive Gold medal. Roopa Unnikrishnan became the first Women Gold medal winner from India in any Sports at Commonwealth Games.
