Since playing the first test against West Indies in 1948, India has played 31 tests at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground in Delhi. 14 matches ended in draw, 5 were lost and 12 tests have been won by India. Except the draw in 2008 game played here against Australia, India has won the remaining last 8 games, remaining undefeated since 1987s loss to West Indies.
Kotla has many memorable moments. Besides two test matches when test match ended leaving India unhappy as they needed only few more runs to win the match with wickets in hand, even bees have got the ground in news, when during a match against Australia due to the bees the players and umpires were forced to lie down on ground.
