Delhi Daredevils vs Kings XI Punjab was the return match with DD already winning the Away match. It was also the return match of Zaheer Khan from long injury and Sehwag, after being rested. Zaheer produced the best, Sehwag failed and DDs local lads did the rest with the help of Player of the Match Nathan Coulter-Nile crushing Kings by 9 wickets, jumping to 4th position as Kings lost 6th in 8 matches in IPL 2015.

Being sent to bat first, Kings XI had the worst start of any team in the 8th edition of IPL. They were 10/4 in 3.3 overs. Sehwag (1) and Vohra (1) were the victims of Zaheer in first and third over while Shaun Marsh (5) was the prey of Duminy in 2nd over and Saha was the first of Coulter-Nile’s 4 wicket. After losing 4 wickets in first 4 overs, Miller and Bailey consolidated. But Bailey (18) was beaten by Amit Mishra and Perera (3) followed soon again leaving them in trouble at 45/6 in 10 overs. From there on David Miller (42) and Axar Patel (22) added 57 runs. As a result Kings could reach 118/8.
Zaheer (2/17), Duminy (1/15) were the most economical, while Coulter-Nile (4/20) was the most successful. Amit Mishra (1/10 in 2 overs) was also among wickets. Angelo (0/19 in 3) and Imran Tahir (0/26 in 3) trying for Purple Cap were the only unsuccessful bowlers.
DD Openers Century Stand Crushes Kings XI
Kings XI could have tried for a fight, but the second over bowled by debutant Shardul Thakur saw two sixes from Shreyas Iyer. From there on the openers added 106 runs in just 12.3 overs. Shreyas scored 40-ball 54 runs and was the only wicket to fall, while Mayank Agarwal remained unbeaten on 40-ball 52 runs. Saurabh Tiwary was unbeaten on 5 runs as DD won with 37 balls remaining.
Sandeep Sharma was the most economical with 0/10 in 3 overs. But Shardul (1/38 in 3), Anureet (0/24 in 3), Perera (0/22 in 2) and Axar Patel (0/23 in 2.5) were taken to cleaners.
