Overall Records
Kings XI Punjab were the semifinalist in inaugural IPL, but since then they have kept sinking. Captains have changed, but not the fate.

Kings XI performances is going down in IPL with every season, as they have a record of winning 28 and losing 30 matches.

Pune Warriors, on the other hand, has a forgettable season with just 4 wins and 9 losses in their debut season of 2011. Even in 2012, their team looks to have the same strong and weak points. Batsmen struggle, but bowlers shine.

Who Will Win Today
Considering the pitch a prediction is difficult, as it will be the first game of the stadimu. Yet, by overall team composition, Pune Warriors should complete a hattrick against Kings XI and win their second match of 2012, specially in their first game at home stadium in Pune.

Murali Kartik, Rahul Sharma and others may be able to continue the Kings XI batting line up, which boasts several Australian names besides Valthaty as prominent players. Piyush Chawla may be successful if the pitch is turning, and considering Warriors weak batting, he is the biggest worry factor for Pune Warriors.

Still Ganguly’s captaincy may again come to the fore in the lack of strong batting line-up, and help Warriors register keep their record clean against Kings XI.
