Gayle became the first centurion of 6s in IPL, and the only one with half-century of 6s in one edition. Gayle also has record of maximum number of 6s in an innings, hitting 17 against PWI in 2013. With Gayle, Pollard and Dwayne Smith share one of the top ratio of sixes per innings. Naman Ojha is the only player in the list who has played less than 10 international matches. Murali Vijay is the only Indian player to have hit 10+ sixes in one innings.
