Korea Open 2017: Sindhu Leads Indian Challenge for 1st Ever Title

Korea Open that turned into Super Series from 2007 event has been dominated by the hosts and Chinese so much so that 89 of the 125 Gold medals have been won by their players. Indians are yet to win any title in this tournament that started from 1991. Unseeded Ajay Jayaram provided a rare chance to title when he finished Runners up in 2015 Korean Open. 2017 Korea Open will see 5th seed Sindhu, the only Indian in Women’s Singles and the only Indian to be seeded lead the Indian chance with 5 Men’s Singles player, 2 pair each in Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles with a Women’s Doubles pair.

    HS Prannoy vs 6th seed Ng Ka Long Angus trails 1-2.
    Sai Praneeth B vs Yun Hu (Hong Kong) 2-2 before, last one won by Sai Praneeth in 2016.
