Shooting World Cup FINALS: Indians Win Rare Gold Medal

Indians started the 2017 ISSF World Cup Finals at Home with a rare Gold medal that is their 16th Gold medal and overall 63rd medal in World Cups. ISSF WC Finals are held at the end of every year after multiple World Cups during the year for all the three events (Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun) for Men’s, Women’s. Mixed team events started with a Gold medal for Indians. In 2016 and 2015, Indians have managed only a Silver each in FINALS of the World Cup. In the 3 World Cups held during 2017 for all the 3 events, Indians won two Gold, two Silver and Two Bronze medals and are placed at 4th position in 2017 behind China (13 Gold), Italy (4 Gold) and USA (3 Gold). With 5 Men and 1 Woman shooters winning the medals Indians won a Gold, a Silver and a Bronze in Pistol events, a Gold and a Silver in Shotgun events and a Bronze medal in Rifle events.
