Singapore Open 2015 main round started today. Gurusaidutt and B Sai Praneeth qualified for the main round but lost today in the first round. Among 11 Indian participants, India got entry in 4 matches for 2nd round. Three Indians in Men’s Singles entered the second round with Ashwini Ponnappa and Jwala Gutta who won their Women’s Doubles match. PC Thulasi, the only Indian in Women’s Singles and Polish Open Champion Women’s Doubles pair also lost.
Ajay Jayaram in Men’s Singles, and two teams of Mixed Doubles failed yesterday to qualify for the Main round. Ashwini Ponnappa/Pranaav Chopra and Pradnya Gadre/Akshay Dewalkar lost in the qualifiers.
