
After creating Indian history yesterday, Sai Praneeth and Srikanth Kidambi had a tough battle for the Singapore Super Series Men’s Singles title. After 54 minutes, Sai Praneeth coming from behind won the first Super Series title in his maiden Super Series final gifting India 16th Super Series Winner. Srikanth, who has already won three Super Series title finally returned to form after a long slump to finish Runners up first time in his three Super Series finals. While to seed Tai Tzu Ying won Women’s Singles title defeating Carolina Marin, Denmark and China shared three doubles event titles. After Saina Nehwal in 2010, Sai is the second Indian to win at Singapore. In 2017, this was second Super Series title for India in 9 title wins.
