Stat Speaks: Kohli Wins the Battle of Captains, SL Whitewashed 1st Time

Before match the talking point was whitewash. In the end it did happen. Virat Kohli led India to 2nd whitewash under his captaincy. In the fight of captains between the highest ODI scorer of year, Angelo kept the slender lead as both scored unbeaten 139 runs. Angelo recorded his first ever ODI century in 6 years, but could not prevent SL from finally getting whitewashed in an ODI series. The match ended to be a contest between 4 batsmen, and in the end Kohli won the series, and was declared Player of the Series too.
