For the first time Delhi Daredevils achieved the distinction of bowling out any opponent below 100 runs in IPL. It was a sweet revenge for them, considering MI has bowled them out for 95 runs in 2011. DD has already avenged their below 100-run loss of 2011, now they will look to win their second match against MI to settle the score completely.

The victory was expected. Playing for the kill DD choose 4-pacers attack. Irfan Pathan, Umesh Yadav, Morne Morkel and Agarkar bowled the Indians out on 92 runs, their 3rd IPL score below 100 runs, with Nadeem impressive as the only spinner taking first two wickets by fourth over of the game taking out both the South African openers of Mumbai.
While Nadeem started the MI crash bowling out Jacobs and Levi in 2nd and 4th over of the inning, Irfan Pathan, Umesh Yadav, Morkel and Agarkar kept giving less runs and taking wickets in tandem until the last wicket went off. Captain Harbhajan Sing with 33 runs was the highest scorer and Rohit Sharma was the only other batsman to reach double figure. Rohit Sharma was involved in running out Rayudu, the hero of last match against DD in 2011.
Bowling with complete aggression, DD was set to follow up with aggression. Sehwag made the intention clear to go back to hotel early hitting IPL 2012 best bowler Munaf Patel for a six in the first over. Naman Ojha also attacked scoring 13 runs.
RP Singh, who was the leading wicket taker of IPL till 2011, finally got a match to play. He showed his IPL class by grabbing first wicket of Naman Ojha and then Pietersen. Unfortunately, Sehwag was dropped on his bowling. Malinga the new leading wicket taker of IPL was replaced by McKay who was not so impressive. Pragyan Ojha troubled Sehwag, and earned his wicket.
Yet, the strong batting line up of DD won the match in 15th over taking them to the top position in Points Table.
