
Vidya Pillai finished Runners up at the World Women’s Snooker Championship 2017 after a tough fight even in tie break against the Asian top seed NG On Yee. After topping the group A with all three wins, Vidya won three knockouts to reach the final. Amee Kamani won the Challengers event as 8 Indian women participated in the tournament that had participants from 10 different countries.

Varshaa Sanjeev was the only other Indian to reach knockouts. She lost in Quarterfinals to Rebecca Granger. She has remained undefeated in Group H topping her group.
Vidya Pillai reaceived £2,400 prize money as Runners up.
