Women’s Hockey World Cup 2018: Race for A New Finalist vs The Battle of Champions

The 14th edition of Women’s Hockey World Cup has two contrasting semifinals today. One will see battle of 2014 World Cup finalists as 9 time World Champions, while other will provide a new 6th finalist to World Cup. Ireland is 15th country to reach semifinal, while Spain will play their 2nd semis after being the 14th country to enter semifinal in 2006. So far it has been a journey similar to FIFA World Cup 2018. Three of these teams were the Group Toppers, while Spain finished third and then defeated their Group topper in QF. All the best to the semifinalists!
