Will India achieve 1-1, at Bangalore overall 6-6, and 2-2 vs Aussies!

Ind vs Aus 2nd test, Bangalore 2017 test

Bangalore has been considered a foreign pitch for India not without reasons. In 21 test matches since 1974 Indians have lost more than what they have won. Indians have lost 6 and won 5, remaining undefeated in the last 5 test matches. At M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, their last test loss was in 2005 against Pakistan. Since then, India drew three with the last one being almost washed off, and won 2, one each against Aussies and Kiwis. Among the 6 results on this ground, thrice the winning teams trailed after completion of first innings. Will India achieve the feat again!! A win will not only get them the much awaited equalizer in the series but also make Bengalure a more acceptable Indian pitch as wins will be equal to number of test losses, 6 each. Besides Aussies have won 2 of the 5 matches played here. India needs a win to equalize that too 2-2.

In 11 completed innings, Aussies have never scored less than 200 with 223 being their lowest in 2010 when India won. Indians have now scored below 200 twice against them after the first innings at Bangalore. Lowest for Indians against Aussies was in 1998 when they were bundled out for 169 in second innings to lose by 8 wickets.

Pak trailed in first innings by 29 runs in 1987 and went on to win by 15 runs.
1998 Australia trailed by 24 runs in first innings but went on to win by 8 wickets
2012 India trailed by 12 runs, but won by 5 wickets.
