With Ayonika Paul and Apurvi Chandela, 11 women have represented India in 7 Olympics, including Rio. 16 year old Soma Dutta in 1984 became the first woman shooter to represent India at Olympics. Indians are participating for the 6th time in Women’s Air Rifle, 10 metres with which the women duo start Indian shooting campaign at 2016 Olympics. As record equalling 5 time Olympian, 2008 Gold medal winner became India’s Flag bearer, at Rio, Gagan Narang and Manavjit Singh Sindhu are representing India in 4th Olympics.
