Commonwealth Games 2010: Major Players Opting Out

Delhi, India: Commonwealth Games 2010 appears to be the last priority when it comes to major players. Due to many other coinciding tournaments worldwide and more importance associated with them, players are lining up to skip the Delhi Commonwealth Games 2010. Here is a list of some of the famous drop-outs.

1. Victoria Pendleton: The Gold medalist at Beijing has pulled out of the Commonwealth Games 2010 to give her a chance to earn more points required for London Olympics by participating in the European Championships. She is the defending champion at Commonwealth Games.
2. Sir Chris Hoy: Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy has pulled out in favourr of European Championships. The Scott has won Gold medal in the last two Commonwealth Games.
3. Geraint Thomas: The Olympic champion has decided to skip Commonwealth Games Track campaign in favor of Tour de France. He will be available for Road Race and Time Trial.
4. Usain Bolt: The sprint king has withdrawn to conctrate on Olympic preparation.
