About Archery World Championships 2010

Hyderabad, India: Following the World Championships patterns, Archery World Championship (2010) has 5 stages. In the first 4 stages held every year, archers earn points in the World Cup ranking. The top 7 in the World Cup ranking qualify for the 5th stage. The annual World Cup Final will be held in Edinburgh.

2010 World Championships has Porec (CRO), Antalya (TUR), Ogden (USA) and Shanghai (CHN) as the venues for first 4 stages. Edinburgh hosts the final. While the first 7 entries was decided by the rankings after the first four stages, a British wild card in all the categories is the 8th entry in all categories. The winners in the 5th stage emerges as the World Champions.

Brady ELLISON (USA), Marco GALIAZZO (ITA), IM Dong-Hyun (KOR), KIM Woojin (KOR), Michele FRANGILLI (ITA), Jayanta TALUKDAR (IND) and Simon TERRY (GBR).

Recurve Women
GUO Faping (CHN), KI Bo Bae (KOR), Victoriya KOVAL (UKR), Deepika KUMARI (IND), Elena KUZNETSOVA (BLR), Justyna MOSPINEK (POL) and YUN Ok-Hee (KOR)

Compound Men
Martin DAMSBO (DEN), Braden GELLENTHIEN (USA), Jorge JIMENEZ (ESA), Sergio PAGNI (ITA), Shaun TEASDALE (NZL), Dietmar TRLLUS (CAN) and Rodger WILLET Jr. (USA)

Compound Women
Erika ANSCHUTZ (USA), Nicky HUNT, Albina LOGINOVA (RUS), Linda OCHOA (MEX), Jamie VAN NATTA (USA), Sandrine VANDIONANT (FRA) and Ashley WALLACE (CAN)

Great Britain’s Archery association will provide the 8th archer in each category.

Mixed Teams
Best mixed teams in the World Cup season will land in Edinburgh.
