1974/75 Series was the most closely fought series with WI winning the last test match to win the series 3-2. Although West Indies were very stgrong team considering the allround world class performers in the team, but Indians can not help thinking, if the internal politics has not led Pataudi being made the captain and Gavaskar had not skipped the three test matches, the 2-3 result could have been different and India would have easily won the series. Still, WI won 3-2 in the end.
