2010 and 2011 knock out entries have made them one of the top 5 teams of the tournament with a positive win-loss ration in last three editions. Sachin Tendulkar, their captain, was adjudged Man of the Series, despite losing the final in 2010.
Who Will Win Today!!
The winner is assured of reaching the top position in points table. MIs win will make it first to reach 8 points, while DDs win will get it on top with a better NRR locked on 6 points with three other teams.
While the Mumbai bowling looks unbeatable, their batting without Tendulkar and middle order failure is looking not so strong.
2011 saw them demolishing DD twice, and in one of the match they bundled out DD below 100 for their lowest score with Malinga’s 5-wkt haul.
In 2012 both have lost only one match. While DD have lost an away match, MI lost at home. Winning against Royals at home may boost their confidence, yet DDs batting is formiddable with the presense of Pietersen and Mahela.
DD bowling and fielding is at par with the best. DDs bowlers led by Morne Morkel are giving their best performance of 5 editions. Considering MI batting comparatively weaker, and DD batsmen with international repute in their rank, MI is set to face another defeat at home.
