Bangladesh Performance in T20 World Cups

Bangladesh has been the Tigers who have failed to remove the minnows tag for many years now. Considered to be a better team in T20, they have entered Super Eight in 2007. Overall they just have one win against West Indies to show in the 11 matches played in four T20 World Cups, including 2012. Overall also they have won only 9 matches out of the 33 T20s played. Despite some good performances, the end result was same even in 2012.

2014 T20 WC Schedule and Results

2007
Knocked out West Indies in Group A to reach Super Eight. Lost all the Group F matches to Australia, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

    1. Def West Indies by 6 wickets.
    2. Lost to South Africa by 7 wickets.
    3. Lost to Australia by 9 wickets.
    4. Lost to Sri Lanka by 64 runs.
    5. Lost to Pakistan by 4 wickets.

2009
Lost both the Group A matches and knocked out.

    1. Lost to India by 25 runs.
    2. Lost to Ireland by 6 wickets.

2010
Knocked out after losing both Group A matches.

    1. Lost to Pakistan by 21 runs.
    2. Lost to Australia by 27 runs.

2012
Knocked out after losing both Group D matches.

    1. Lost to New Zealand by 59 runs.
    2. Lost to Pakistan by 8 wickets.

They have played 33 T20s and won 9, except 2 against West Indies remaining 6 coming against minnows.
