The current unsettled Australian team and 2 consecutive wins may let Indians smell a sweep. But 2 of the Australian sweeps against India has come when they had the weakest teams. Mohali ground is also seam-friendly and may give some life to Australian hopes. On the other hand although India may also eye their only test sweep in a series of more than 3 tests, still first the big question is can they create their unique record of winning 3 tests in the same series against Australia!!

The first time India won 2 tests against Australia in a series was in the lost cause. They lost 2-3 in the 5 test series of 1977-78 in Australia. After that India has won 6 test series but could not break the 2-test winning record.
